Manifestations

 Following an invitation by Prof. Omar Farhati, Director of Hamma Lakhdhar Elouedi University - Algeria to participate in the international symposium "Technology and Sustainable Industrial Development" on 24 and 25 February 2019, a delegation chaired by Prof Kamel Abderrahim, President of the University of Gabès, accompanied by Prof Zouhair Ben Ayadi, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Gabès, Prof. Mohamed Bagané, Director of the National School of Engineers of Gabès, Prof. Noureddine Hamdi, Director of the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Water of Gabès and Prof. Mohamed Debouba, Director of the Higher Institute of Applied Biology of Medenine, represented UNIVGB in this event. This visit was an opportunity to evaluate the cooperation between the two universities started since 2014 and to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two parties in the next 5 years in several areas of common interest in particular the mobility of students and teachers, scientific research, participation and coordination of international projects and events, and take advantage of the skills and resources available between the two universities.

Study day for the presentation of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus + NEO program for the benefit of students and teachers 21 November 2018

In collaboration with the Erasmus + NEO National Office, the University of Gabès organized a study day on 21 November 2018 for the benefit of students and teachers with the aim of presenting the opportunities offered by the program to prepare and benefit from the calls of application.

 International Seminar on Linguistic Diversity in Arab-German Studies 26-27 September 2018

In collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies at the University of Leipzig (Germany) and with participation of teachers of the University of Oran 2 (Algeria) and the University of Koln (Germany), the Higher Institute of the Humanities of Medenine organized the international seminar on the diversity of Arabic-German language studies under the theme "dialects and linguistic modes and its use in language teaching for non-native speakers". This three-day event will take place from 25 to 27 September 2018 at the Arid Zones Institute of Medenine and will be attended by 34 Tunisian and German students.

Tunisian-Nigerian Days 7 and 8 September 2018 in Niamey-Niger

The University of Gabès participated in the Tunisian-Nigerian days, among 11 public universities and 6 private universities under the chairmanship of Prof. Slim Khalbous, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 7 and 8 September 2018 in Niamey-Niger.

These days were an opportunity to represent the Diplomas courses and specialties offered at the University of Gabès.

During this visit, Pr. Kamel ABDERRAHIM, President of the University, had several meetings with the presidents of Nigerian universities, Nigerian teachers and former students who studied in Tunisia aiming at concluding partnership agreements in the fields of teaching and scientific research.
