Continuing Training (Life Long Learning Centre)

As part of the ongoing activities of the Tempus-LOGIC project, the University of Gabès has created the Life Long Learning Centre.


The objectives of this center are:


  • Valuing and Capitalizing on the Potential of University Training and Expertise
  • Improving the Employability of Young Graduates
  • Contribute to Improving the Economic Competitiveness of Businesses

  • Organization and Structure:

  •  Steering Committee: : they report to the President / Vice President of the University
  • Training Programs Committee

  • Plan Training Programs
  • Validate Training Content and Teaching Methodologies

  • Management Committee:

  • Communication and Public Relations.
  • Organization of Training Courses and Registrations
  • Logistics Management
  • Financial Management

  • Observation of Continuous Training

    The continuous training observatory provides the following functions:

  • Identification of Need (in terms of target groups, skills and training programs) and the potential for training adapted to demand
  • Monitoring Activities and Training as Part of Continuous Training at National and International Level
  • Development of Evaluation Reports.
  • Establish a Target Group Database.
  • Data Collection on Regional and National Socio-Economic Institutions
  • Identification of the Target Groups’ Needs and Estimation of the Demand
  • Studies and Prospection on the Development of Continuous Training Activity Within the University
  • Establishment of Quantitative and Qualitative Evaluation Indicators Pilot Courses

  • Pilot Courses

    The center offers two pilot courses:

  •  Preparation for LabVIEW CLAD Certification (ISIM Gabés)

  • Business English (ISL Gabés)

  • Quality Assurance and Accreditation Framework

  • An Appropriate Quality Plan by All Internal Stakeholders
  • Training Programs Are Designed with Terms of Reference that Specify Training Objectives and Expected Results
  • University Council Approval of Programs and Training Activities
  • Training Pedagogies to Meet the Specific Needs of the Trainees
  • The Publication and Transparency of admission and Eligibility Requirements for Training Programs and Sessions
  • Adherence to Application Procedures and Selection of Trainers
  • Accessible Training Resources and Materials that are Useful and Appropriate to the Types of Training
  • Publication and Visibility of Information on Activities and Training Programs
  • An Internal Evaluation System for Training and Activities
